I have had the privilege of working as a VP with three extremely dedicated, hard working principals. I have learned a tremendous amount from each of them as I observed their leadership styles. However, there still aren't/weren't enough hours in the day for them to effectively mentor a part time VP when they are/were so busy in their demanding role and the VP is/was busy attending to the planning and delivering of lessons. I am pleased that my Board has put in place, just this past year, some regular self selected VP PD. It's been very good and a step in the right direction.
